Dr. Salama graduated from Sultan Qaboos University, College of Medicine, and received her M.D. in 2002. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology in Riyadh (KSA) in 2010. She then completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship at King Faisal Specialist and Research Centre in 2013.
Dr. Salama is a certified Pain Medicine physician and is a member of numerous professional medical societies including the International Association for study of Pain.
Dr. Salama is adjunct faculty with the Oman Medical Specialty Board and actively involved in teaching Pain medicine to the junior colleagues. She has a special interest in advanced pain therapies including Spinal Cord Stimulation, and Cancer pain management.
Dr. Abdul Hameed graduated in 1997 with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Salford University, UK. He received his MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2004 from Roehampton University, UK. In 2015, Dr. Abdulhamid received his PhD in Sports Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, UK.
Dr. Abdul Hameed has more than 24-year experience working as a physiotherapist. He started his journey at Royal Hospital, Ministry of Health. Thereafter, he moved to work as Head of Physiotherapy Department in Ministry of Sports. Additionally, he was also the chief physiotherapist for under 17 Oman football team who qualified in the World Cup of 2001.
Dr. Abdul Hameed has several scientific publications in the area of sports medicine and exercise, and contributed in lecturing several government sectors including Ministry of Education and military sectors. He worked as a clinical tutor teaching musculoskeletal module for physiotherapy students at Oman College of Health Sciences. Dr. Abdul Hameed has a special interest in sports injuries and physical activity science.
Dr. Atika earned her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Dublin) in 2008. She is a board-certified Family physician from Oman medical specialty board in 2017 and obtained her Arab board certificate in the same specialty in 2018.
Dr. Atika became a Palliative Medicine and hospice care consultant after pursuing a fellowship from the University of Alberta (Canada) in 2020. She is part of the Department of Pain and Palliative Medicine consulting team at the Royal Hospital (Muscat).
Dr. Atika has a strong interest in the development of palliative care in Oman, particularly in managing pain in patients with cancer. She is an active member of the Omani Society of Family Physicians and its scientific committee. She is an associate lecturer and educator at Oman medical specialty Board.
Dr. Atika looks forward to advocating and helping patients through a comprehensive assessment of pain and other psychosocial distress in the context of serious illnesses.
Dr. Ebtesam is Alumni of Sultan Qaboos University in 2003, London school of hygiene and tropical medicine (2009) and WHO’s PROLEAD program for leadership in health promotion (2007). In 2015, Dr Ebtesam completed her qualifications as a diabetologist and certified in obesity management.
Dr. Ebtesam has long experience working in various primary and secondary health care facilities, and long experience in public health programs at the national level.
Dr. Ebtesam’s Non Communicable Diseases (NCD) clinics in the Ministry of Health had more than 1000 active registered patients following up with her, and she achieved a remarkable control rate of 64% in patients with Diabetes, and more than 90% control rate in patients with hypertension. Her results were equally impressive in her obesity and lifestyle clinics too.
Dr. Ebtesam’s experience in NCDs and obesity management allows her to provide individualized care plans for her patients and control risk factors related to chronic diseases.
Dr. Gautam Das is the founder of "Daradia: The Pain Clinic" that received the best pain clinic award in the whole of India in 2011.
Dr. Das is a consultant anaesthesiologist and pain physician since 1996, and went on to contribute profoundly to the body of knowledge and capacity building of pain medicine. He occupied many prestigious leadership positions in pain medicine professional societies. He was the chairman of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Iran chapter of World Institute of pain, and a member of educational committee of Indian society for study of pain (ISSP task force). He was elected president of Indian society for study of pain in 2018, and the Dean of Indian academy of pain Medicine in 2022.
Dr. Das was the first in Asia to receive in 2010 the world's Institute of pain awards “Excellence in Pain Practice” in all 3 categories, “research in pain management”, “multidisciplinary pain practice” and “training of physicians”.
Dr. Das has authored 5 popular pain management books, wrote 13 book chapters in pain medicine published from India and abroad, and has published more than 100 publication in index journals.
Dr. Maiya graduated from Dubai Medical College and obtained MBBS in Medicine in 2007. She completed her residency training program in anesthesiology and critical care at the Oman Medical Speciality Board (OMSB) in 2014. Then, she completed her fellowship in pain medicine at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, KSA, in 2020.
Dr. Maiya is a member of Oman Society of anesthesiology and critical care, and is actively involved in the anesthesia residency training program. She holds a diploma in interventional pain medicine certified through the University of Montpellier.
Dr.Maiya has an interest in scientific research in the field of pain medicine, with a special interest in regenerative medicine such as Platelets Rich Plasma (PRP), and in neuromodulation advanced pain management therapies, such as spinal cord stimulation and radiofrequency treatment.
Dr. Karin graduated in 1986 from college of Medicine at Albert Ludwigs University Freiburg in Germany and received her Doctorate in medicine from University of Zurich in Switzerland in 1989.
Dr. Karin started her professional career in anesthesiology and worked as a consultant in Anesthesia in Switzerland for 12 years. In 2007, she joined SQUH as a senior consultant in Anesthesia, and remained in her post for another 12 years.
Thereafter, Dr. Karin specialized in Pain Medicine after a clinical attachment in Royal Hospital in chronic pain medicine. She was awarded a European Diploma in Pain Medicine in 2021.
She is a member of the International Association for the study of Pain, and the European Society of Regional Anesthesia. Dr. Karin has special interests in neuromolecular biology and novel treatments in pain medicine.

Dr. Sameeh is a certified physician in Pain Medicine, and has many and varied research contributions, some of which have been published in accredited medical journals.

Palwasha Hadi is an experienced senior physiotherapist. She graduat- ed as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Baqai Medical Universi- ty, Karachi, Pakistan.
She worked as a physiotherapist volunteer in Fatima Hospital Karachi and at the Royal Hospital (RH) in Oman. Palwasha is well experienced in helping individuals with musculoskeletal injuries, disabilities, and any conditions that affect their movement and physical ability. She recently did an international course in y needling.
Ms Prija has more than 10 years of experience and has been working Oman since 2017 as Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
She is experienced in myofascial release, IASTM, cupping therapy, therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, all types of electro-therapy and using exercise therapy equipments.
Tamara holds a Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF) from VTCT, UK. She has received her training from Bali International Spa Academy in Indonesia.
She is passionate about using manual therapy techniques to help patients recover faster, as well as improve quality of life by reducing pain and stress. She specializes in trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage techniques and myofascial release, and is also a qualified Reflexologist.
Patients can look forward to a holistic massage experience, as Tamara enjoys blending classic Swedish techniques with a functional massage approach, with the goal of helping people achieve physical and emotional wellness through therapeutic massage.
